¶ “Two Hundred Bidirectional EV Chargers To Be Used In Trial” • Vattenfall, Energy Bank, and Volkswagen are collaborating on a new bidirectional EV charger project in Sweden. Two hundred bidirectional EV chargers will be installed in the country. The chargers can transmit electricity to EVs and from EVs back to the grid, as required. [CleanTechnica]

¶ “‘Fraud, He Wrote!’ Whistleblower Takes On Donut Lab Battery Claims” • According to Tech Times, Lauri Peltola has filed a criminal complaint questioning the claims Donut Lab has made about its solid-state battery technology. The allegations say Donut Lab may have exaggerated key metrics, such as energy density and battery lifespan. [CleanTechnica]

¶ “São Paulo Launches Line 17 with BYD SkyRail” • After a long delay, Line 17 entered revenue service in São Paulo last March 31. It is a medium-capacity system engineered to fit into a city that no longer has space for traditional rail geometry. ¶ “Naturgy Reaches 600 MW Of Renewable Energy With Six New Solar Plants In Andalusia” • Naturgy started operations at six new PV plants in the provinces of Seville and Jaén, allowing the group to increase its operating renewable energy capacity to over 600 MW in southern Spain. Investment for the expansion was over €260 million. [Inspenet]

¶ “Renewables Acceleration Critical For Economies Facing Energy Crisis, IRENA Says ” • Countries must strategically deploy renewable energy to enhance resilience amidst the current energy crisis, according to the International Renewable Energy Agency. ¶ “TenneT Moves Transformers To Maasvlakte Station” • TenneT has completed the transport of the first three transformers to its 2-GW converter station at Maasvlakte in Rotterdam. TenneT said the units, each weighing up to 400 tonnes and standing over seven metres tall, were moved about 5.5 km from the container terminal to the site. [reNews]

¶ “Metric Shows Renewables Are 53% Cheaper Than Nuclear Power” • A new metric for assessing total system costs puts a least-cost mix of offshore wind and solar at about €46 ($54.20)/MWh in a future climate-neutral energy system for Denmark. ¶ “WindEurope 2026: GE Wins Spanish Turbine Deal” • GE Vernova has signed an agreement to supply fifteen wind turbines for the Santa María de las Fuentes wind farm in Spain developed by Renovalia. The turbines will have a capacity of 6.1 MW and a 158 meter rotor. The deal was booked in the fourth quarter of 2025, the company said. [reNews]

¶ “Judge Blocks GE Vernova Exit From Vineyard” • A judge in Massachusetts blocked GE Vernova from abandoning work on the 806-MW Vineyard Wind offshore project. Suffolk County Superior Court Judge Peter Krupp has issued a preliminary injunction preventing a GE Vernova unit from terminating its contract and ceasing work. [reNews]

¶ “A 160-MW Laramie Solar Project Makes Deal With Black Hills To Get Power On Grid” • A 160-MW solar project on Laramie city-owned land reached a milestone with NextEra Energy Inc signing a deal with Black Hills Power Inc to deliver energy to the grid. This comes two months after NextEra cancelled a 600-MW wind project. [Cowboy State Daily]

¶ “Robots Are Quietly Building the Future of Renewable Energy” • In California’s Mojave Desert, AES used robots from the firm Maximo to install 100 MW of solar capacity at its Bellefield solar complex, reducing the need for manual labour.
