¶ “Octopus Energy To Set Up Joint Venture To Trade Renewables In China” • Octopus Energy Group said it partnered with China’s PCG Power to create Bitong Energy. The  joint venture will trade renewable energy in China’s electricity market. Bitong Energy was announced during UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s visit to Beijing. [pv magazine International]

¶ “Some People Are Installing DIY Solar Panels To Cut Their Electricity Bills” • In many places, subsidies for rooftop solar ended in 2025, making full professional solar installations more expensive for ordinary households. ¶ “Colorado AG Phil Weiser And Utilities Intervene Against Craig 202(c) Order” • Tri-State Generation and Transmission and the Platte River Power Authority filed a request for reconsideration against the Trump administration’s illegal coal orders, following similar requests from Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser and public interest groups . ¶ “Electric Cars Jack Up Domestic Content, Thanks To Biden Policies” • American Automobile Labeling Act reports show that the 2026 vehicle models with the biggest gains in domestic content (US and Canadian content) are electric vehicle models. ¶ “Trump Administration’s Climate Skepticism Effort Violated Federal Law” • A federal judge ruled that the US DOE violated federal law when it formed a secretive group of researchers to produce a report downplaying the effects of climate change. ¶ “Virginia Lawmakers Advance Major Energy Bill Vowing To Shut Down Some Non-Renewable Energy Producers” • The Virginia General Assembly is moving forward with sweeping energy legislation that would overhaul the state’s electric utility framework.
