Japan:

¶   The size of the crowd protesting restarting nuclear reactors at the prime minister’s residence was larger than previously reported in mainstream media.  According to organizers, there were 45,000 people involved.  There were also protests elsewhere, in Japan, in the US, and in Brazil. World:

¶   Amid the oil and gas wells of British Columbia, Dawson Creek (pop. 11,583) provides more electricity than it needs from wind and solar power. [Leader-Post]

¶   In Michigan, debate is starting over a ballot initiative to put green energy requirements into the constitution. [Battle Creek Enquirer]
